Here you will see urgent announcements about upcoming events and important changes.

bullet National Youth Leadership Training.  This one-week course teaches our youth leaders the leadership skills that they need!  It is level two of the three-part youth leadership training continuum.  It is a follow-on to the more basic "Troop Leadership Training" that the troop does at Kirk Park each Winter.

Follows are the "nearby" courses in Summer 2012.  Our council offers this course in August, however, you don't have to go to our council's version if another council's works better for you.  The least expensive (and closest) one is at Camp Owasippe in June (the three closest and three least expensive are highlighted below in bold).  Distances are from Holland.  The courses have a minimum age of 13, a minimum rank of First Class, and a requirement that your Scoutmaster endorse your application.  Note that most of these courses don't fill up -- so if the application deadline has past, you probably can still get in late:

Scenic Trails Council.  Camp Greilick near Traverse City (about 170 miles).  June 10-15, 2012.  $200 if paid by May 1, $230 afterwards.
